...Before you foodie penpal me...

I have already mentioned foodie penpals before, and I am looking forward to posting and receiving parcels to/from lovely bloggers and blog readers. 

I certainly email my foodie penpals before preparing and posting a parcel to you all (I know that some of you have allergies, etc.). This page will drop some hints about my foodie pen pal persona :-)

I include some of the answers to the frequently asked questions, based on the 'sample email' on 'Rock Salt'. I have also added a couple of extra questions and answers. 

First of all, to what address should I send your parcel?

I will provide the address via email.

Do you have any dietary requirements?

Yes. I try not to eat too much sugar as I cannot metabolise it properly. I am not a diabetic. I simply watch my weight. A bar of chocolate won't kill me (it will keep me happy for a few days and I can always share it with my OH). I eat cereal bars though. These are guilt-free.

Any allergies?

I have no food allergies. I am happy with lactose and gluten.  

Would you prefer healthy items, sweet treats or a mix of both?

Mostly healthy items, and a single sweet treat. 

Foods and drinks you especially like or dislike? Think about spices, flavours, textures and more…

I love dry fruit and seeds, I adore spices, I love exotic food and I drink hot drinks passionately. I particularly enjoy exotic teas and any type of herbal tea. I love any food that reminds me of nostalgia (use your imagination for the last one).

Are you more of a cook or a baker (or both)?

I am a cook. I do bake, but I mainly cook.

Would you prefer edible treats, things you can use to make your own treats or a mix of both?

A bit of both. 

Do you have any pets?

I feed the garden birds. 

  

Any food related-hobbies? 

I grow my own food (vegetables, herbs, spices and edible flowers) in the garden, so feel free to send me some seeds for growing if you like. The final product will end up in my stomach anyway :-)

How do your friends and foodie pen pals address you?

Most people address me as 'Mary', but 'he' or 'she' will also do. I am happy with either. 


Will you discuss my package on your blog?

Yes, unless you ask me not to. Expect to read a post soon.
